YouTube

This is my fav! I can spent hours listening and watching youtube. I like it because you can see lots of old songs, its like going back into the past. I like that you can see all the videos that are most watched. Don't like most of the promoted videos, like the ones about elections...
Youtube would be good in the libraries to teach user education and promote our libraries to customers advising what is avaiable

Web 2.0 awards

Flickr is my favourite, this is the one I use the most and am not surprised that it got lst prize. Flickr is great because you can explore a wide variety of images, upload photos, organise your photos, edit them and share them with the world.

zoho writer

Well I signed up to this, it took ages and all my patience! finally got there, ok, its a good word processing tool, and a good way of sharing documents

Image Generators

Had a great play around with this! my favourite was http://liftmagic.com/ which is a "facelift visualization studio"Had a lot of fun with this, you get an image of someones face, and you can give it a brow life, cheek life, nose reduction...and the list goes on. My model was Keith Richards, and he was a great one too!

wikis

I liked "the booklovers wiki" that Princeton public library developed, It is full of book reviews. This is a fun way to use a wiki. I also liked the comments that the library says about why they set up the wiki, because it gives the community the opportunity to experiment and learn about new technologies and I agree with them, it is a good thing.

Web 2.0, Library 2.0

Theres no doubt that Web 2.0 has enchanced libraries in their services, Libraries can deliver so much more to our customers, and its constantly changing for the better.

I am also pleased that I am doing this Web 2.0 programme because I am understanding more about whats out there, and will be able to help out and relate to our customers.

Technorati

Had a good look around Technorati, at first I found it confusing as there was so much to look into. But once I had a good look around it found it a good search tool, some great links to go to and its good that we can share tags.

I like looking at the the top ten most looked at sights, this was interesting and basically you could go on forever with all the links....

Del.icio.us

Ok, Delicious is great, enjoyed looking at the site and scrolling through all the bookmarks. Its easy to search, checked a few libraries sites and could spends ages looking through the various bookmarks they have which is such a wide variety. Its a great way to organise info and share it. I just wish I had more time to scroll through!
